How do I prepare my children for racism?
Give them identity before the world tries to define them, Family. Teach them their history - greatness, not just suffering. Explain that some people will treat them unfairly because of their skin - not their failing, but the racists’. Teach them to advocate for themselves. Build their confidence so racism is an external attack, not internal identity. They must know their worth so deeply that hatred bounces off. Prepare them without traumatizing them. Truth with love.
