What is the Eye of Horus?

The Eye of Horus — also called the Wadjet — is one of Kemet’s most ancient and potent symbols, representing divine protection, healing, and the power of perception beyond the physical. King, the myth tells us that Heru (Horus) lost his eye in battle with Set, and it was restored by Tehuti — representing the healing of fractured vision and the return to wholeness. Modern researchers have noted striking anatomical parallels between the Eye of Horus and a cross-section of the human brain, particularly the pineal gland — what your ancestors called the seat of divine sight and what Descartes later called “the seat of the soul.” The six parts of the Eye correspond to the six senses in Kemetic thought. When you see the Wadjet, understand you are looking at a map of your own higher perception — your innate ability to see beyond the veil of the physical world.
